Sand Harbor Boat Ramp

Launch your boat into one of the most scenic spots on Lake Tahoe. Sand Harbor boat ramp is a favorite location since there is quick access to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Tahoe’s north shore.  It is a smooth easy boat ramp with beach access right near the launching area and then there is nearby Sand Harbor beach with extra amenities.  Sand Harbor boat launch offers two wave protected double ramps with docks and adjacent parking. Get there early during the summer peak  months since parking is limited. The parking lots are often full from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on summer weekends and weekdays during July and August. Watercraft inspections are required as part of the new program that is helping to protect Lake Tahoe from the threat of aquatic invasive species such as Quagga and Zebra mussels.

Hours:
Summer – May 1 through September 30, 6 am to 8 pm
Winter – October 1 through April 30, Friday, Saturday and Sunday only, 6 am to 2 pm. Winters hours are subject to change and/or closure.
