South Lake Tahoe, CA—“Lights on the Lake” Firework Show
Come and see what locals and visitors call the greatest 23-minute fireworks show on earth! South Lake Tahoe has also made national headlines as one of the Top Ten Cities to For Fireworks! Follow the link to see the full ABC News article. This show has also been rated as one on the Top Five Fireworks Displays in the Nation by the American Pyrotechnics Association.

South Lake Tahoe has planned another fantastic display for 2012, which is expected to attract up to 100,000 people. It’s no wonder that some people call it the biggest fireworks show west of the Mississippi. It starts at 9:45 PM and is visible from just about anywhere along the shoreline.

Some of the best locations to see the show include Nevada Beach, Edgewood-Tahoe, The Tahoe Queen and M.S. Dixie II, Timber Cove Marina, The Tallac Historic Site, Bijou Community Park, and El Dorado Beach. To ensure that you get your preferred seats, we recommend that you claim your spot by late afternoon and plan to have a picnic dinner with family and friends.

Incline Village, Nevada – 4th of July BBQ & Fireworks Party at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort
Come to a BBQ event like no other hosted by the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort. It costs a fee to attend the event at the Hyatt, and the fireworks start at 9:30PM. The fireworks will be shooting off from a barge, so if you just want to see the fireworks show you can pick any site along the shoreline in Incline Village and still get excellent seats.

Tahoe City, California – Tahoe City Fireworks July 4th, 2012
Tahoe City’s 66th Annual Independence Day Celebration takes place downtown at Commons Beach. The fireworks display starts at DUSK and will take place over the lake, so the views from the beach will be fantastic. You can also take your own boat out on the water, or watch the show from the Tahoe Gal. Tickets for the Tahoe Gal sell out fast, so book your seats early.

Truckee, California – Truckee-Donner Lake Fireworks
If you are looking to celebrate in the old fashioned way, head to West End Beach. This is more than a show; expect live music, fun games, and delicious affordable food. Top it off with a spectacular fireworks show, set to start at 9:30 PM. The party is exclusively for residents and homeowners, and tickets cost $6.00 for ages one to adult. If you are not a resident, you can still enjoy the fireworks from almost any location around Donner Lake.
