REI Winter Trails Day Trek – January 10th
Two Treks to choose from!
At the Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center
Trek 1: 12pm – 1pm
Trek 2: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Distance: 1-2 miles
Difficulty: Easy
Description: Saturday, January 10, 2015 is the 20th Annual Winter Trails Day! REI and Tahoe Donner invite you to join in this national winter celebration at Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Area in Truckee, CA. Winter Trails Day is a nationwide event that celebrates snow sports and gives those new to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing for free, and to discover the great fitness and social benefits associated with these winter activities. Whether you are a novice or an expert, join the TRTA in one of two scheduled guided snowshoe hikes.

The Main Event from 11am – 3pm
If snowshoeing doesn’t interest you don’t worry, join us at the main event from 11am until 3 pm! Free and fun for the whole family. Enjoy snow safety presentations, gear demonstrations, snow shelter building, avalanche beacon scavenger hunts, snow science activities, snowman building and more.
