Squaw Valley USA
Squaw Valley USA is located at the end of a stunning alpine valley cradled by six high Sierra peaks. Site of the VIII Olympic Winter Games, Squaw Valley is one of the most talked about and sought after winter recreation destinations in the U.S. and a must visit destination for anyone that loves winter sports.

Squaw Valley USA is a winter playground for all ages offering the most skiable terrain in Lake Tahoe, the most advanced lift network in the U.S. and some of the deepest snow in the world. Thirty-three lifts, including North America's only Funitel and an aerial Cable Car, access 6 peaks, 4,000 acres and 2,850 vertical feet of terrain. Following over $60 million in improvements over the last decade, and empowered with a renewed commitment to grooming and customer satisfaction, Squaw Valley has captured the spirit of vacationers from around the globe.

Squaw Valley USA is once again gearing efforts toward improving the overall guest experience for the 2006/07 winter season. Environmental sustainability remains a primary focus; in an effort to preserve the area's precious ecosystems, Squaw Valley is refraining from expansion beyond the natural footprint.

Squaw Valley TV
On plasma screens in areas like the Cable Car lobby and the rental shop guests can view real time updates on lifts, mountian conditions and upcoming local events to ensure that they are dressed for the weather and never miss out on what's going on at Squaw. On Squaw Valley TV visitors can also learn tips from pros about any thing from making powder turns to waxing their skis or boards.

Snowmaking
Squaw Valley is stepping it up for the 2006/07 winter season with an increase in snowmaking. Squaw Valley is expanding snowmaking efforts from 400 acres and 10% of terrain to 600 acres and 15 % of terrain for the 2006/07 season.
