Beautiful Hope Valley is poplar to locals who know the drive there from South Lake Tahoe is worth the trip. You have 60 miles of trails, 10 miles groomed in the meadow areas and forest. Children can ski in the mini-ski area. Call about the full moon tours, wildlife tours and backcountry skills seminars. No trail fees are charged, but they rely on voluntary donations. Lessons and rentals available. |

Spooner Lake Cross Country Ski Area offers something for all ages and ability levels. Whether you want easy to moderate trails, or day long treks into the back country, or even an overnight lodgine in a wilderness cabin. Over 80 kilometers of groomed cross country trails extending over 9000 acres. The terrain is broken into 30% beginner, 40% intermediate and 30% advanced.
