Alpine Meadows Ski Resort is located in the Tahoe National Forest at Lake Tahoe's north shore and covers 2,000 acres of terrain. As one of Tahoe's "Big Six" ski resorts, Alpine Meadows' 2000-2001 winter season will be its 39th year of operation.

LOCATION: 6 miles NW of Tahoe City off Highway 89 and 13 miles South of Interstate 80 at Truckee, CA. 45 miles West of Reno, Nevada;120 miles East of Sacramento, California; 200 miles East of San Francisco, California

WINTER HOURS: 9:00am until 4:00pm (subject to change, please call ahead 530-581-8374)

LIFTS: 13 total lifts: One high-speed 6-passenger chair, one high speed quad chair, three triple chairs, six double chairs, one surface lift, one SunKid surface lift.

TERRAIN: 2,000 skiable acres, 100+ designated runs: 25% easier, 40% more difficult, 35% most difficult.

SNOWFALL: 402 inches average

SNOWMAKING: Covers a network of runs served by 10 of 12 lifts; beginner through advanced runs; 185 acres
