Just twenty-five minutes from downtown Reno, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is North Lake Tahoe’s best kept secret. Whether you are looking for a quick get-away or a longer vacation, the location of this resort makes it affordable and convenient. Starting at the regions highest base elevation of 8,260 feet, the Mt. Rose elevation soars up to 9,700 feet. The panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and Nevada from the summit will absolutely take your breath away.

Mt Rose ski resort has the capacity to introduce you to some of the best powder in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. When you jump on one of the eight ski lifts you will be propelled up 1,800 vertical feet in less than four minutes. There are 62 runs, plus terrain parks for all abilities, and The Chutes offer extreme challenge for advanced skiers and snowboarders. If you want to improve your skills, the Mt. Rose Ski and Snowboard School is a great start for beginners and has advanced lessons for those looking to tear it up in The Chutes.

Dining at Mt. Rose runs the gamut with eight restaurants, bars, and coffee shops with a variety of offerings. The 431 Sports Shop is an excellent choice for top-of-the-line mountain gear, apparel, and accessories. Mt. Rose’ Winters Creek Lodge is available in the winter when you need to take a ski break, or reserve space for a special event during the summer. The setting is gorgeous and relaxed, with panoramic views of the Washoe Valley and Washoe Lake. There are a number of events and entertainment planned throughout the year, including the Santa Ski Crawl, The Chutes Best Line Challenge, and the Dummy Downhill.

The Mt. Rose, Nevada, resort is located along Mt. Rose highway and is the closest resort to Reno and its Reno/Tahoe International Airport, with daily shuttle services are available from many locations. Mt. Terrain Park: Mt. Rose will offer 2 terrain parks for 06/07 season: Doubledown & Badlands. Both Parks are located in the Slide Bowl and have a variety of features including various tables & rails. Badlands Terrain Park is predominantly medium sized elements, and starts off Bruce's trail. Doubledown Terrain Park is located next to the Blazing Zephyr 6 chair and is primarily large "go big" elements.
Lessons: Mt. Rose offers lessons for First Timers, Kids, Group, Private and Seniors. The learning experience at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is designed to give you confidence on the slopes in a safe and fun environment.
Rentals: Mt. Rose offers a complete line of quality equipment, including a large selection of shaped skis and snowboard boots with step in bindings. The repair shop will help you with fixes, waxes and grinds. Rentals and full-service repair shop on lower level, main lodge. Must be at least 18 to sign rental voucher.
