There were $5 Million in Improvements for the 06-07 Season!
This latest infusion of cash will improve snow surfaces with high-tech snowmaking and grooming, wi-fi access in all base lodges, expand ski and snowboard school programs and will also strengthen the Resort's dedication to environmental stewardship.
Heavenly's slopes will receive even more meticulous attention with five new Bombardier 350 groomers and one winch-cat for high-angle grooming. All new groomers and snowmobiles have category 3 "green" low-emission engines, as does Heavenly's fleet of South Lake Tahoe shuttle busses. Heavenly's state-of-the-art snowmaking system, which services 70% of the mountain's runs, was also an improvement last season.
Heavenly's ski and ride school is further addressing guests' need for a safe and educational introduction to park riding with a new Beginner Freeride area at the top of the Gondola. This area will help set students up for jibbing success with hits and rails mere inches off the ground. |

The first part of the adventure is simply getting there! The 2.4-mile ride up the mountainside in the Gondola is one trip you will never forget.
The second part of the adventure is the park itself which is complete with snow tubing, sledding, cross-country skiing, ski biking and snowshoeing! Heavenly's lift-accessed tubing hill provides snow enthusiasts with hours of fun. Plus, with acres of wide-open terrain, everyone in the family will enjoy snowplay and sledding. The park also offers 4k of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. There's plenty of fun-filled opportunities for children of all ages. |
