Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe’s 2009 “An Evening of Food & Wine Tasting”
6:00 PM - 9:30 PM. Must be 21 to attend. “An Evening of Food & Wine Tasting” raises money to fund the many projects and programs sponsored by Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe. We will be showcasing over 15 local area restaurants and 20 vintners this year. In addition to the main event there will be a silent auction and a raffle. We are selling raffle tickets for the chance to win one of three prizes: (1) a wine cellar with 20 bottles of premium wine plus original art from our poster contest – valued at $1,500; (2) golf for 4 at Edgewood Golf Course and a signed poster from the Celebrity Golf Tournament held in July – valued at $1,500; and (3) a hand-made quilt that is priceless. For the past 39 years, all monies raised by Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe have been directed back into the community through educational scholarships, youth activity sponsorships, the South Lake Tahoe Women's Center and numerous other projects that enhance services and the quality of life in the community. Turkey Trot 2009 at Bijou Community Park
Races held snow, rain or shine. Sign ups at park @ 10am. $2 for 18 and older- includes a hot dog lunch. Optimist Club covering the fees for the under 18 year olds. The Tahoe Mountain Milers, South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club and the Parks & Recreation Department will all host the 2009 Turkey Trot. Youth races begin at 11am and adult race begins at noon. |

Laser Eclipse "A Live Tribute To Pink Floyd & Full Color Laser Show", has been playing psychedelic rock around the lake for a couple years now. This 4-man band does what Pink Floyd did with 10, delivering knock out performances that have audiences wanting more. Their two-hour show is packed with tons of Pink Floyd and always opens to a packed house. Anyone who likes Pink Floyds music should come check it out.
