Located near the summit of Luther Pass, Mr. Toads Wild Ride is the most requested advanced ride on Lake Tahoe's South Shore….and for good reason. It consists of miles of single track including miles of fairly steep climbs on a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail followed by miles of descending through some technical rock sections on the upper part and some fun, banked and rolling terrain in the lower sections. The spectacular High Sierra scenery caps off a ride should satisfy the cravings of most all thrill seeking mountain bikers. The ride can be done as a loop adding 5 3/4 miles of pavement. Otherwise, car-shuttle from the starting point at the Big Meadow trail head on Hwy.89/Luther Pass to the trails' termination on Onidas St. See map for details.
